8s helps vehicle owners create and manage QR codes for their vehicles so that other users can scan the QR code and contact the vehicle owner quickly in practical situations, such as parking issues, emergency contact, or general vehicle-related communication. Depending on the owner's settings, users may contact the owner through in-app chat, phone call, or linked social channels.

The visibility of this information depends on the settings selected by the vehicle owner.

4. How We Collect Information

We collect information:

  • Directly from you when you register, sign in, edit your profile, add a vehicle, upload or save content, or send messages
  • Automatically when you use the app, such as app analytics, crash reports, and notification tokens
  • From third-party authentication providers such as Google and Apple
  • From backend services and Firebase services used to operate the app

  • Create and manage your account

  • Allow you to create, link, and manage vehicles and QR codes
  • Show public vehicle contact pages based on owner-controlled settings

6. Permissions We Request

Used to scan QR codes.

6.2 Photo library or gallery permission

  • Select an image from your device to scan a QR code
  • Save generated QR code images to your device

6.3 Notification permission

Used to send push notifications such as new chat messages, contact requests, alerts, and service updates.

You can control permissions through your device settings, but some features may not work properly if permissions are denied.

7. Public Sharing and User Controls

8s includes privacy controls that allow vehicle owners to choose what information is visible to others. Depending on the owner's settings, other users may be able to view or access:

  • Vehicle details

  • Social links
  • Bio text
  • In-app contact options

You are responsible for the information you choose to make visible through the App.

8. Legal Bases and Purpose of Processing

Where applicable under local law, we process information because:
